Fulton State Hospital – New Hospital

The new Fulton State Hospital operates as a 300-bed, high-security, psychiatric healthcare
facility. As a multi-phase project, River City Construction competitively bid and was
awarded both phases: (1) new energy center; (2) new psychiatric health facility. In total,
the project encompasses 487,000 square feet of new space within the campus, including
(6) patient wings, an administration building, an energy center, and a common connector
core. Challenges of the project included significant coordination efforts between
all trades (BIM technology), specifically with the MEP building systems, and security and
access control systems.
