This design/build project, completed by River City Design Group, included a complete restoration/renovation of the 5,000 square foot brick and wood structure originally constructed in 1883. The project is located on the IC Campus and within the City of Jacksonville Historic District. The work included installation of new structural steel and footings to support the original wood floor structure, interior construction and period woodwork, restoration of the original wood, double-hung windows as well as new electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire sprinkler systems. The building houses the Paul Findley Congressional office, the Al Habtoor Leadership Library, and office and classroom space for the School of Communications.
