Peoria Playhouse Children’s Museum – Glen Oak Park

Project consisted of a complete interior/partial exterior renovation of the existing 119 year old, 13,000 square foot 3-story Glen Oak Pavilion into a Children’s Museum. Museum  includes six (6) interactive exhibits tied to the past, present and future of the local community. All of the exhibits are accessible to children with special needs and every planned component is tied to a Common Core standard through the third grade. Interior improvements included completely new plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection and electrical systems. Interior finishes included new floor coverings and paint to coincide with the various exhibits. Exterior improvements included new ADA compliant ramps and railings, as well as aluminum storefront windows at the sand porch exhibit.
