The Stevens Building, a two-story, 68,520 SF facility built in 1958, serves as home to the School of Theater Arts & Dance, the Department of Anthropology, classrooms, laboratories, and faculty offices. This project involved the demolition of the building’s north wing and the renovation of 21,000 SF of interior space. Upgrades included new interior partitions, finishes, windows, roofing, tuck-pointing, and modernized MEP systems throughout the facility.
Additionally, a 65,000 SF expansion was constructed, featuring classrooms, laboratories, and offices for the Department of Anthropology. The addition also includes a 330-seat lecture hall, a black box theater, and supporting scene shop spaces, enhancing the building’s academic and performance capabilities.
