The 85,000 SF medical facility houses new offices for family medical practices, children’s health, and pediatrics, alongside dedicated spaces for MRI, CT, and X-ray imaging services. Situated on a 15-acre site, the project required extensive utility rerouting and extensions, as well as the creation of a new pond to support irrigation, natural vegetative restoration, and a walking trail.
Although the project followed a traditional delivery approach, River City Construction collaborated with the University of Missouri to implement value engineering strategies, ensuring the development remained within budget while meeting high-quality standards.
“The 85,000 square foot South Providence Medical Building was our first project with RCC and our most successful project at the University of Missouri. From the start it was apparent that RCC’s Project Manager, Kelly Hequembourg, and Superintendent, Don (“Spanky”) Evans, share the same goals as SOA, a project that everyone on the team will consider successful, and a satisfied client. It was great to work with a contractor that recognized we are all part of something larger than our individual firms.”
