New Office Building, U.S. Federal Courthouse

Urbana, IL

Project Summary

The project involved the construction of a modern four-story office building, featuring federal offices, secure areas, a library, judges’ chambers, and multiple courtrooms.

“River City has provided General Services Administration (GSA) with quality services during their performance as a General Construction Contractor for the Urbana, Illinois Federal Building, US Courthouse project on which I served first as GSA’s Review Architect and subsequently as Construction Management Engineer.”

“During their management of the project, River City met scheduled dates and maintained the budget. In fact, over the course of what eventually became almost a 2 year schedule, despite many tenant driven revisions and additions that occurred, River City was able to expedite the completion of the building as well as ensured coordination of the separate trades contractors, numerous specialty contractors, and was extremely responsive to a most demanding and particular client.”

– Gerald Deptolla, Architect, General Services Administration
