Illinois State University Breaks Ground for the new Wonsook College of Fine Arts.

There was excitement in the air as team members and the community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Illinois State University Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts project!

Led by River City Construction, LLC, the project includes the replacement of Centennial West with a new Commons Building, expanded space in the Center for the Visual Arts, and a new two-story addition to the Center for Performing Arts. Interior renovations to Centennial East and other buildings will take place during the summers of 2026 and 2027, enhancing instructional, performance, and rehearsal spaces for years to come.

This milestone marks an exciting new chapter for the arts at Illinois State University!
