Project Summary

Improvements to current wastewater treatment plant included increasing plant’s overall average daily flow capacity to 4.0 million gallons per day with ability to handle peak flows of 12.0 million gallons per day. Project included new influent pump station, new headworks building with mechanical screening and vortex grit removal, new aeration basins with fine bubble diffusers and pre-anoxic basin, new secondary clarifiers, new return activated sludge/waste activated sludge lift station, new scum pump station, modifications to existing anaerobic digesters to convert them to aerobic digesters with floating aerators, and modifications to existing control building, including supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) control.
