This design-build project for the Catholic Diocese of Peoria created a new 8,000 SF, single-story Family Resources Center. Previously located amid commercial businesses on Peoria’s bustling Main Street, the new facility sits in a quieter urban neighborhood, adjacent to the Diocese’s Pastoral Center—a River City project completed in May 2009. To establish a cohesive, campus-like aesthetic, the Center incorporates the same brick and stone exterior as the Pastoral Center.
Designed to offer a welcoming, library-like environment, the Center serves staff, parishioners, and clients with a spacious collections area, children’s room, devotional space, offices, conference room, and additional amenities. The basement features a meeting room, kitchen, restrooms, and a dedicated sewing/workroom for the Christ Child Society.
