The Transportation Education Building at SIUC serves as the home for the Aviation and Automotive Departments, featuring automotive laboratories, flight simulator rooms, and weather dispatch facilities. The adjacent Test Cell Building is equipped with four specialized test cells used for instruction and research, including a multi-purpose propeller test cell, a thrust turbo fan and turbine shaft test cell, and two reciprocating engine test cells. Additionally, the Fleet Storage Building provides space for special teams and component storage, supporting both automotive and aircraft laboratory operations.
