The newly constructed three-story courthouse serves as a central hub for law enforcement and judicial functions. It houses the sheriff’s office, four clerks’ offices, a public meeting room, two courtrooms, and dedicated offices for a judge and state’s attorney. Built adjacent to the historic 154-year-old courthouse, the facility enhances operational efficiency while preserving the site’s legacy. The sheriff’s office features administrative spaces for the sheriff and deputies, a 911 call center, five holding cells, evidence rooms, a probation office, and various amenities to support its functions.
