University of Missouri, Benton Hall Renovation

St. Louis, MO

Benton Hall

Project Summary

Benton Hall, built in 1964, was UMLS’s original science building and one of the initial buildings constructed for University of Missouri, St. Louis. Existing conditions of Benton Hall did not meet current building codes, accessibility standards or modern teaching requirements. Building was renovated to provide flexible state-of-the-art lecture halls and classrooms of various seating capacities, seminar rooms, study areas, collaborative venues, and other student spaces. Building core and shell were renovated and all internal mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems were replaced with new systems that advance life safety and building comfort.
